Our history
and creed

Please let us introduce to you, we are Petra & István the managers and Joci the chef of the restaurant and we would like to tell you the story of our lovely Retek Bistro. We are lucky, since we had the chance to travel around the world, but to be honest, one thing had been always missing from our journeys. The divine meals from our grandma’s kitchen that evoke our childhood. For us, there is nothing like Hungarian cuisine. In the heart of Budapest, we would like to prove that to you with traditional meals and our legendary hospitality.
